Material Descriptions

Bank Run Sand

Unprocessed · CSI 31 23 23

Naturally occurring sand excavated directly from our pit deposits without processing. Variable gradation with some silt and gravel content. Used for general backfill, trench fill, and sub-base applications where specification tolerances allow unprocessed material. Most economical sand option for large-volume earthwork.

Screened Sand

Processed · CSI 32 11 23

Bank run sand processed through screening equipment to remove oversize particles and debris. Cleaner and more consistent gradation than bank run. Suitable for masonry work, paver base leveling beds, finish fill, and applications requiring a uniform, workable sand product.

Underdrain Sand

Specification Grade · CSI 33 46 13

Specification-grade sand meeting gradation requirements for perforated underdrain pipe bedding and filter layer applications. Controlled fines content prevents migration into drainage structures while maintaining adequate hydraulic conductivity. Specified for foundation drainage, roadway underdrain systems, and subsurface stormwater management.

Coarse Stone Dust

Fine Crushed · CSI 32 11 23

Fine crushed stone screenings with high compaction characteristics. The angular particles lock together under compaction to create a dense, stable layer. Used as a base course under pavers and flagstone, leveling fill for final grade, and compaction fill in confined areas. Sets firm and resists shifting.
